Rumpelstiltskin and the Fairytale Laundry

Friday 9 April 2pm

Paisley Arts Centre

£5 BOOK NOW

Ages 4+

The Fairytale Laundry is where - after a story is told - all the clothes, the knights and their armour, and the moon and the stars go for a bit of a polish. There's so much work to be done! But who should turn up but Rumpelstiltskin, a funny wee man who is always ready to give a helping hand. It just so happens that most of the washing is from his story. With a cast of clothes pegs, a bulging wash basket and the odd colourful sock, Ailie Cohen - the Mistress of the Laundry - returns with this very successful production that audiences all over the UK and abroad have greatly enjoyed.

This will be a wonderful evening of Irish folk music not to be missed.

This is a tale about one man’s quest to seek out the Loch Ness monster – or water kelpie - which in darker ancient times has been terrorising the local countryside. He outwits the shape-shifting water horse and takes away its powers, but in doing so he inherits strong and magical abilities of his own!

A new production from one of Scotland’s leading companies using soundscapes inspired by Gaelic song, gentle and engaging storytelling, beautifully created puppets and striking animation.

‘It was brilliant. The children were all completely taken in.....the whole experience was uplifting.’
