It's a wondrous thing, people coming together with a selfless agenda, in other words putting the community first for the benefit of everyone! The stronger a community the better, it means lower crime and less fear of crime, it means that people have a sense of belonging, in short, people are happier.

It's no easy thing to create and it takes hard work, planners have no idea about community, more damage has been done by planners than by any other outside influence. Community is not about houses and streets, it's about people looking out for people!

There is a strong sense of community within Renfrewshire, we are privileged to see this throughout the region as we work with groups and individuals.

So what do we do to help communities? We create community web sites where the community can interact, with the help of 3DC.org.uk, we support the local community groups and small or social businesses within the community, helping them access the power of the internet by providing either free web sites and support or inexpensive web sites. (dependant upon the area within Renfrewshire, currently Bishopton and Erskine receive free web sites and support!)
