Are we cool?

Renfrewshire is pretty cool, in the most, it’s a good place to live, offering some of the best countryside around and access to the rest of the best within a tank full of petrol.

The people here are good too, don’t get me wrong, we have numpties like most places, but in the most this is a good place to bring up kids and a good place for kids to be.

The Braehead Effect

Paisley and Renfrew got a pasting when they opened Braehead Shopping Centre, however, Renfrew is coming back into its own, with Paisley Town Centre lagging behind. They have ideas about the regeneration of Paisley Town Centre and I’m sure in the fullness of time they’ll have a workable idea or at least have someone who can think outside the box and not be stuck in the 70’s! In Renfrewshire

As for the reasons for living and working here, well, good traffic systems, including rail, air and bus services, a work force that likes to work and premises to suit both the small start ups to major manufacturers and everything inbetween.

Hills, water and culture mix with amenities, established infrastructure and a world renowned education establishments to make Renfrewshire the shire of choice!

Paisley.org.uk - Paisley's own community online! It's run by a cool web master too!

Scottish Enterprise Renfrewshire - we used to know people here but thats all changed! Where did all the people go?

Renfrewshire Council for Voluntary Services - Nothing to do with the Council! We call them RCVS for short! Got a club or group - get in contact!

Renfrewshire Association for Mental Health - from time to time we all get lost, they can be a compass - 7 days a week, with links for every type of difficulty! Takes one step, this may be it!

We know there are more out there and we'll feature them when we see them and check them out!

We used to have a local radio but it moved out and went Rock, so we have:

Radio Ferguslie, which is a training project for people who want in on radio.

Radio Scotland, which I listen to in the morning (excellent features) and;

Real Radio which I listen to in the afternoon (OK I listen to the morning show when I wake and love listening to the football phone at 6pm, always funny!)
